LTDWelcome to another week of Uncle Bing’s favorite tunes. This week there was much turbulence at the top of the charts as Gene Cotton falls from the top after only two weeks. Our new number one song leaps from number five last week. It is LTD with their smash hit from 1977, “Back in Love Again.” LTD’s Lead singer, Jeffrey Osborne, would go on to have a solo hit in 1982 with the top-five smash, “On the Wings of Love”.

Elsewhere in the Top Ten, we have Taco and Modern English creeping towards number one, but I doubt they can make it. Walter Murphy and Prozzak break the top ten barrier and are moving up fast.

The top debut song this week starts off at number 13 and it’s by The New Seekers. Other debut songs are by The Police, Dire Straits, and Todd Rundgren.

I’ll add some links to some of the songs to their youtube videos. For the record, note that Toto’s song “99″ is not about Barbara Feldon on “Get Smart”, but about falling in love with a futuristic robot. See y’all next week!
