tom-pettyWelcome to another week’s worth of Uncle Bing’s Favorite Tunes. The top spot this week remains the same as last week. It’s “How Could This Go Wrong?” by Exile. But, the big news of the week is Gene Cotton leaping from number eleven to number four in only its second week on the chart. That’s sure to be number one in the next week or so. The second and third spots are slow-rising hits by Bananarama and ABBA that have been slowly creeping up the charts for the last six weeks or so.

Some good songs in the middle of the charts that look like they are stalling are Paranomia by The Art of Noise and I’m on Fire by 5,000 volts. I’ve linked those two songs — plus a couple more — to their videos on youtube.

Three songs debut this week on the chart. They are songs by LTD, Blondie, and the Cocteau Twins. Until next week, Happy Listening!
