170 – Veterans Day

170 – Veterans Day

Veterans Day has become Veterans month. I think that is a good thing. It is my hope that in all our hearts and minds that Veterans Day is a year around thing. We as a country are making good progress so let’s keep it going!

I am almost caught up. Got a bit behind due to other areas of my life. No worries, I am moving like a HAWK Missile off the rail!

169 – Rod and Ride Night at Whitman VFW

Rod and Ride Night for the Whitman VFW is an event where people get together with their hot rods and motorcycles to have a good time. There is usually a band, food, and booths of local people selling handmade items. It is just a great time and all money goes back to support Veterans.

This was open an open mic night at Whitman VFW. I didn’t get a lot of pictures of this event.

I did have a great time and I am looking forward to doing more of these in 2020.

168 – Seeing the Moving Wall

168 – Seeing the Moving Wall

I met with Veteran Service Officer Ken Badertscher to learn more about The Moving Wall in # 162 – https://whoobazoo.com/oscarmike/2019/08/30/162-the-moving-wall-attleboro-ma/.

It was an honor to get to see The Wall and talk to people who worked so hard behind the scenes to make this happen. More important was being able to see all the people who came out to pay their respects to the ones who were lost during the Vietnam War.

167 – Danielle Rocco – Devoted to Soldier

167 – Danielle Rocco – Devoted to Soldier

I had the pleasure of talking with Danielle Rocco remote and on location. She is a Marine Mom, transformation coach, speaker and now author of, “Devoted to a Soldier.” She talked with me about her work with Veterans Advocacy.

The question has to be what hasn’t Danielle done? Professional ballerina, business owner, author, filmmaker, coach and now Veterans Advocate, Danielle believes anyone can make positive change in their lives at anytime.

Devoted to a Soldier is about develop strong relationships. The strongest being with one’s self. As I listened to Danielle talk about this during our time, I felt that I was on that path. Getting reminded of what I need to do daily was coaching at its best.

You can go to Danielle’s website – https://devotedtoasoldier.com/ to learn more about her documentary and Veteran’s Advocacy work.
