NASCAR and Fanatics debuted their brand new Superstore at Pocono International Raceway on Friday to much fanfare.
The state-of-the-art shopping area was larger-than-life and boasted banners of the sports’ biggest stars of yesteryear and today. From Dale Earnhardt to Dale Earnhardt Jr., Richard Petty to Ricky Stenhouse Jr., and Kyle Busch to Danica Patrick most of today’s top drivers were depicted in huge banners atop the Superstore.
The open air structure is enormous, welcoming, and spacious showcasing tons of unique products at all price points. From hats and t-shirts, team flags and glassware, jewelry and collectibles there were products for the beginning fan to the hardcore one who claims to have everything.
Martin Truex Jr. quipped, “Welcome to 2015’ when he spoke to the media and fans in the ribbon-cutting ceremony. He was referring to the dozen kiosks dedicated to online shopping at the site offering free shipping for items not found or available at the at-track Superstore.
Truex, Jr. was thrilled with the concept of the store so his fans could get the gear they wanted.
“My fans are always Tweeting me about where they could get my hat or my shirt, now I can tell them where.”
President of Fanatics Authentic Ross Tannenbaum told the gathered crowd that, “The biggest winners are the fans!” He continued by saying the debut at Pocono Raceway was the first step in a long term process to make the Superstore reach its ultimate potential.
Pocono International Raceway President and CEO Brandon Igdalsky excitedly told the fans that the NASCAR Fanatics Superstore “tent is unbelievable”.
Once the ribbon was cut the fans charged the entrance to get inside and ogle, browse and shop for gear of all kinds with myriad drivers’ numbers and likenesses.
For the NASCAR fans it’s like being a kid in a candy store with endless choices of all the favorites.
